Cooking is one of my favorite pastimes. It wasn’t always, but it has become very important to me. Nourishing my family’s tummy is almost as important as nourishing the soul. Their physical health affects their spiritual well being and their ability to serve others and The Lord.
Growing up in the south, food is always an integral part of any gathering and unfortunately it’s not always healthy.
I’m always tweaking an old family recipe to not only accommodate our food allergies, but to get back to the
roots of health and wellness.
Most of my recipes are either low carb or low fat versions of old recipes, and many comply with the Trim Healthy Mama lifestyle. I lost 50 pounds on THM, which is not a diet but a faith-based lifestyle plan encompassing balanced,
clean, low glycemic meals and does not deprive of any of the four food groups.
I’ve also lost 25 pounds through clean eating. I am currently on a journey of healing my thyroid so I am sugar free, gluten free, grain free, soy free, dairy free, and limiting lectins. Below is information and recipes to assist and encourage you.
