Recently our family took a much-needed, well-deserved camping vacation at one of the breathtaking beaches in our beautiful state. On this Thankfulness Thursday, I am so grateful for the opportunity to get away. We were able to spend quality time together as a family. We spent time in prayer, Bible study, discussions, and even silence just enjoying God’s creation. We marveled and the sea creatures, plant life, ocean, sand, shells, and the beauty of it all.
I was able to commune much more closely with my Heavenly Father because there was no busyness of life, ringing phones, email avalanches to distract me. I would encourage you to do the very best you can to try to get away. Find a sanctuary, plan it on your calendar, and get away for a while. I guarantee you won’t regret it. You will be refreshed, renewed, and armed and ready for everything life throws your way.
Take time to count your blessings. Enjoy your family. From the rising and setting of the sun, praise The Lord for all He has done and all He will do. Thank Him for walking with you in the trials of life, getting you through the chaos. Curl up on the beach or by the mountain and let the Heavenly Father surround you with the loving presence. He is truly worthy of our praise!
