It’s been a while since I gave y’all a weight loss health journey update.  Here are a couple of my previous posts about my journey, just in case you missed them: How I’m Losing Weight and Improving Health Naturally and My Weight Loss Journey.  I also have a guest post on my journey which will be posted on a friend’s blog that I’ll be sharing with you soon as well.

As you know, I’ve been on the Trim Healthy Mama plan now since 2013.  I’ve been doing very well on the plan.  My weight has been up and down a little because of a hormonal imbalance.  However, this clean eating and Trim Healthy Mama lifestyle is beginning to balance that back out.  I’ve also been able to go completely off of my beta blockers for supraventricular tachycardia and inappropriate sinus tachycardia.

Since the decision to become a Trim Healthy Mama, I have removed processed foods, gluten, and soy from my diet.  I still struggle with my addiction to sugar, but I would say I am about 95% sugar free.   These days when I see foods laden with chemicals, I get sick to my stomach.  When the donuts are passed my way during Sunday school, I am not tempted to grab one.  I actually can’t stand the sight or smell of them, so I hold my breath, close my eyes, and politely pass them down to the other end of the table.

I’ve learned to rely on The Lord more and my stress eating habit less.  I now have the tools I need to give God and myself control of what I eat.  Food no longer controls me.

Trim Healthy Mama has been such a blessing in my life.  I know it is a plan inspired by God’s Word and the way He created our bodies.  I am so excited to hear about the many lives that have been changed by this healthy and faith-based lifestyle.  And now I am even more excited to announce that the writers, Pearl and Serene, have a new updated version:

Trim Healthy Mama has been a life saver in so very many ways.  It is a very adaptable, convenient, and forgiving plan.  There are times when life happens and circumstances cause the necessity to make some unhealthy choices like packaged foods or dining out. The plan is so versatile that it offers plenty of choices for you during these seasons of life. Then it also has a stricter plan that you can follow when life affords you more time to devote to fitness and health.  It is a plan written for every type of person with every situation in mind.

There are some recommended special ingredients to help you convert your old favorite recipes into healthier versions, but these ingredients are not necessary to do the plan. Some of these special ingredients may not fit into the budget and may seem pricey at first. Our family is on a very tight budget so I pick and choose the ingredients in which to invest. I have to say that I will never return to my old lifestyle.  This plan is for life!
