Exercise was once something I dreaded. However, I’ve been walking since 2012. I love to walk my neighborhood listening to worship music, enjoying creation, and burning calories. Walking is the best, most effective exercise for all around fitness, but sometimes you need to change your routine.
You may recall me mentioning that I have been diagnosed with diastasis recti, which is a separation of the abdominal muscles and the linea alba tissue between my abdominal muscles actually has a hole in it. This probably happened when I was pregnant with my twins. Crunches, jackknives, and planks are exercises I have done many times in the past in an attempt get rid of this baby pooch. At the time I had no idea that I was actually causing more damage to my abdominal injury. So I have to be very careful what types of exercises I perform. I contacted an awesome coach several months ago, and she has provided me with therapy exercises to try to heal my abdominal muscles. PiYo is great because there are instructors performing different levels of ability recorded on the video. Some of the workouts are intense and wear me out, but they are all excellent. At the time I may be complaining, but when the workout is over I feel accomplished and healthy. PiYo also has a healthy eating plan based upon whole foods and lots of resources to help you live a healthier lifestyle inside and out. I will add the only negative I can say about the program is the limited modesty of the clothing, but I do understand exercise videos try to showcase potential results for people,
